Spiked Cider Brew

Spiked Cider Brew

I have another recipe for your Halloween party! It’s slow cooker spiked cider. If you are hosting a party, you must have appetizers, desserts, and something special to drink. This cider will serve multiple guests and will absolutely get you into the October mood.

Slow Cooker Spiked Cider

Ingredients

one gallon fresh apple cider

two oranges, sliced 1/4 inch thick

five cinnamon sticks

five star anise pods

one tablespoon whole cloves

two cups of dark rum

Directions

1. Pour cider into your slow cooker. Get my Black & Decker slow cooker here.

2. Add one sliced orange to the cider.

3. Add cinnamon sticks, star anise, and cloves. I prefer them lose in the cider because they add color and look beautiful.

4. Cover cider and let cook on LOW for about four hours.

5. Add rum and let sit a few minutes before serving. Add slices of remaining orange to mugs and serve with a ladle.
