I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.

Ashley and Doug were the most fun to work with! You know you are going to have an amazing relationship with your clients when your first consultation is at Nano Brew in Ohio City! The couple got engaged while traveling out west visiting National Parks. They told me about all of their adventures and people they met along the way and I knew these were my kinda people. Since my family farms in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and that’s where I source all of my flowers, it was a natural fit.

Ashley is very inspired by nature and super creative, so I really enjoyed being part of her design process the final months leading up to the big day. We decided to include dahlias, sunflowers, zinnias, herbs, goldenrod, eucalyptus, flamingo celosia, and lisianthus in the bouquet, and Ashley’s flower crown was made of lisianthus buds and statice. The bridesmaid bouquets were made of the same material, but smaller. The ten foot garland of greenery was also fresh from the farm and handmade. The garland on the head table at the reception mirrored the ceremony garland. The couple used vintage National Park postcards instead of table numbers and every table had a group of budvases filled with a few flower stems.

Oh, and the couple had their reception at Great Lakes Brewery! The natural lighting, exposed brick and live green all all tied into their love for nature. I will never forget working with this couple and how they made their wedding day soo very Ashley & Doug!
