I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.

cuyahoga valley wedding

cuyahoga valley wedding

Elizabeth and Dan are an outdoorsy couple and their wedding reflected their love for nature. They chose the Cuyahoga Valley National Park as the location for their wedding and there were so many decor details that brought the outdoors inside.

Each table was marked with a vintage national park post card and old gas fueled lantern. Elizabeth’s dad cut and finished slices of wood that bud vases of flowers were placed on top of. The bar was even an old canoe with glass on top. We filled the canoe with moss, ferns and flowers to create an overgrown, natural look. The couple also chose local, sustainable vendors to make their wedding day unique!

Each arrangement and bouquet was built with fresh flowers grown in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Deep reds, light pink, evergreens, and pops of goldenrod colors set the mood for the warm, late summer, very early autumn day. The stand out flowers were dahlias I sourced from Mrs. D’s Dahlias in Hudson. They were surrounded by cosmos, scabiosa, statice, lisianthus, goldenrod, zinnias, and billy balls.
