Perfect Bloody Mary

Perfect Bloody Mary

I really love how easy it is to make a bloody mary. It was the first cocktail I fell in love with and the first one I learned how to make. It’s a very classic, brunch time cocktail because its claim to cure a hangover. They say all the salt can replace electrolytes! And honestly, it’s worked in the past for me…

But bloody marys can be more than just tomato juice and some celery. I’ve experimented with a few different bloody mary mixes and a lot of topping combos. I’ve decided which I like best and shared my ideas below. I even linked a few that are my absolute favorites!

premade bloody mary mixes:
Pope’s
Master of Mixes

add to a cocktail pick:
cornichons these are my favorite!
cheddar cubes
cocktail onions
stuffed olives
prosciutto wrapped cheese I love these prewrapped from Trader Joe’s

pop right into your cocktail:
Randy’s dill pickles
thick cut bacon (cooked almost burnt so it isn’t flimsy)
celery
sauerkraut
any picked veggie! okra, asparagus, green beans…
I especially like Horman’s

And actually making the cocktail is pretty simple!
-one part vodka to two parts bloody mary mix
-add as much hot sauce and worcestershire sauce as you would like
-stir or shake with ice and strain into a tall glass over ice
-add all the good stuff you chose from above!

If you follow me on instgram, you can actually watch my latest DIY Happy Hour where Z & I make each other bloody marys. I would love to hear how you make your bloody mary special! Cheers!
